How to Play

Yields Of Foresthood is a cozy voxel world. Chop, mine, fish, fight and trade — your grind pays off in coins, and every coin makes you stronger.

Start your character

The first time you press Play you pick a name, gender, skin tone, hairstyle, hair, eyes, shirt and trousers. The name and look are chosen once, so choose well!

On a phone or tablet you get a direction pad on the left and a big ⚒ action button on the right. Hold the ⚒ button to keep swinging.

Earn coins

  • Chop trees in the Forest (south) for Wood.
  • Mine rocks at the Quarry pit (east) for Stone — rocks sometimes hide Gold Ore.
  • Fight slimes and goblins for Slime Gel and coins.
  • Fish at the Fishing Lake (east). Buy the rod at the Item Mall, cast, wait for the bite, then reel in. Old chests sometimes surface.

The Market

Sell everything at the Market board in town. Prices move every 20 seconds — sell Wood, Stone, Gold Ore, Slime Gel and Fish when the arrow points up (▲) and the price is high.

Spend coins

  • Item Mall: health potions and the fishing rod.
  • Blacksmith: upgrade your Axe, Pickaxe and Sword (up to level 5; higher levels also need Gold Ore).
  • Your Village: build a Lumber Camp and a Quarry. They produce Wood and Stone every minute — even while you are away (up to 8 hours).

Combat

Slimes (green and pink) wander the fields; goblins guard the far corners. Every hit has a 15% chance to be a critical for double damage. Rest inside town to heal, or drink a potion.

The dungeon

The purple portal north of town starts a timed run: defeat every monster inside 90 seconds for coins, Gold Ore and XP. Each floor you clear makes the next one harder — and pays more.

Enchanting

At the Enchanting Altar you bind Slime Gel into your sword for Lifesteal, healing you for part of every hit. Three enchantment levels max.

Tips

  • Upgrading your sword first makes slimes and dungeon floors much easier.
  • Never enter the dungeon without a potion at level 1.
  • Check the Market before a selling spree — waiting 20 seconds can nearly double your coins.
